High-Precision Self-Leveling

The LP310 is equipped with highly accurate tilt sensors. This technology is so precise that even when self-leveling is repeated several times, the LP310 always finds the true horizontal, generating a laser plane accurate to within 10 arc seconds.

One-Button Simplicity

The LP310 is easily attached to a tripod or wall mount and positioned roughly level (the unit has a wide self-leveling range). Pressing one button will align the unit automatically on the horizontal plane. The unit then starts to rotate. Work can commence without delay.

Sturdy Design

The LP310 is not fussy about where it works. Compliant with IP55 (IEC60529), it offers superb resistance to dust (so you can safely use it in places with sawdust and other airborne particulates) and excellent water-
resistance, sufficient to withstand a sudden downpour while in the field.

H.I. Alarm and "Windy" Function

The "H.I. Alarm" function is preset on the unit at the factory. It ensures that the laser beam is shut off and a warning lamp flashes if the instrument is tilted or jarred while in use. Self-leveling is not repeated until the unit has been checked so there is no danger that work might continue using incorrect height values.  Alternatively, the "Windy" function can be activated when lighter wind gusts are prevalent at the construction site. This function provides increased shock or impact tolerance when the unit is buffeted by wind. Self-leveling is only triggered if there has a significant movement. This helps to save time at sites that are windy or subject to vibration.

Three Power Packages

The unit can run up to 100 hours on four size D (R20) alkaline batteries. The rechargeable Ni-Cd battery provides sufficient power for 40 hours. There is also an optional AC adapter (100 to 240 V) for continuous operation.
