Therefore we recommend the use of the Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme Tablet. It has been equipped with special protective features to be able to resist the difficult external conditions and fulfills protection class IP 65. Additionally, it has an 11.6-inch FHD display optimized for outdoor use and always ensures optimum readability.

The measurement

With the Measurement Center of the 3-DIM software, you can control your measuring instrument via Bluetooth directly from the tablet. The menu is based on the familiar and proven 3-DIM Observer interface.

Completely new possibilities open up for you. All the points to be measured are shown on the display and can be selected conveniently via the graphic interface. In addition, you are now able to check the measurement on site – Have all data been recorded correctly before leaving the site or is it necessary to repeat some measurements? Thus you avoid costly follow-up visits on site to collect the missing information.

In practice

We recommend using the cross belt which is included in the delivery. In doing so, you will be able to stay directly at the measuring object and at the same time you can position the target objects. Thus you achieve shorter measuring times. Should a measurement take longer, you do not need to worry about the battery life. The tablet has dual hot-swap batteries, so you can change the battery while the tablet is running.
